There are a few steps involved in setting up the Careers & Employment module.

From the teacher end:- Create jobs and/or edit the example jobs already listed in the job market
- Switch the status from 'draft' to 'active' on the ones you'd like visible and available for students to apply for

From the student end:- Create a *CV from the template on their dashboard
- Click the 'Apply' button under job they'd like to be considered for

*Note that if you're not ready to introduce CVs to your class yet, there is a setting available for teachers to allow students to apply for jobs without a CV. To do so, head to the 'Module Settings' section at the bottom of the module and switch the button to OFF.

You can also turn off job applications entirely and assign roles directly to students yourself.

----

If you decide to leave both options on, you will then see applications start to populate the 'Job Applications' section. This is where assigning the jobs comes in. You can select individual students or choose all to accept or decline them.

You'll see the student listed as an employee in that job, earning the pay per week listed in the Student Employment Overview section. At that stage, automatic payments are set up and you can consider that student assigned to the job.

If you want to terminate individual positions, simply click the x next to their role.
