Check out the class store and learn how it works for teachers and students.
The Class Store is a recent addition to the Banqer Primary platform and a digital evolution of a traditional class store. It gives students the opportunity to do more with their hard-earned Banqer dollars and allows direct purchases from their own student dashboards.
You’ll see 'Class store' as a widget on your Teacher Dashboard, between the 'Class financial literacy results' and 'Class Achievements' sections. By default, it's set to ‘closed’. You can make it visible and active for your students by switching the button to ‘Store open’.
As the class store is visible on your own dashboard, students will be able to access items for sale in the same way. See below for a few easy student steps:
First - Choose an item in the Store and click ‘Add to cart’.
Second - Click the ‘Go to checkout’ button at the bottom.
Third - Check payment information details and then click ‘Make payment’.
Finally - To make the item appear on the avatar, select the My Stuff tab and then click ‘Apply’.
There you have it! Your students will be able to personalize their avatars by purchasing glasses and hats or adding pets.
You can also add your own personalised teacher items to the Class Store. After clicking the 'Add new item' button, you'll be able to create an item by entering: a product icon, a name + description, a price, and finally the stock (a certain number available or unlimited).
Upon purchasing teacher items, students will click to claim in their 'My Stuff' section of the store. You can either accept or decline this purchase by clicking on the 'View purchased items' button.
Declining an item purchase will not refund the amount to the student, but instead give them an option to re-claim at another time.
We hope this new addition adds heaps of excitement and engagement to your use of Banqer Primary in the classroom!
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to shout out.
